Service Description

A 15% discount is applied per course if more than one course is booked. Join super fun Jonathan Freemantle + assistant, his fantastic young son Leonardo at The National Gallery on The Mound at 10am to study 'The Monarch of The Glen' by Sir Edwin Landseer. (Parents are welcome to join for this period of the day from 10am to 12.30pm) Between 10am to 12pm children will be guided through the gallery to learn about this particular painting and join in with Jonathan's life long enthusiasm for the masters of the past. Jonathan is an incredibly engaging teacher and children will feel uplifted and inspired by the way art is described to them. Between 12pm - 12.30pm you will walk from The National Gallery to 13 Great King Street with a packed lunch, where you will have lunch in the garden all together until 1pm. Any parent may then leave their child at 12.30 to have lunch together as a group without parents. Between 1pm - 3pm children will paint their master copy of the famous work they previously saw in the gallery, and a professional image is printed and laminated for them to use beside their own work. Pick up at 3pm from 13 Great King Street, EH3 6QW All materials are provided by The Edinburgh Drawing School

Cancellation Policy

We will provide a 50% refund if you give written advance notice up to 30 days before the course start date. 0% refund 30 days before a course starts. Please note there is an administration fee of £5 payable in respect of such refunds to cover payment processing fees. You will need to inform a member of administration staff in writing by emailing EDS at info@edinburghdrawingschool.co.uk. Additionally, if you withdraw for any reason after the course has started you will not be entitled to a refund. We are a small business and we depend on every booking to ensure that classes can go ahead. If a student is unable to attend a class due to illness, then EDS must be informed immediately so that the tutor can be notified. If you are missing a class because you suspect that you have developed Covid-19, please let us know immediately so that we can alert fellow student and tutors. Non-attendance of classes/workshops does not automatically mean a refund, however EDS will assess the circumstance
