David Forster RSW

David is both our Watercolour Landscapes, and Fluid Acrylics tutor, providing fantastic classes for both beginners and intermediate levels. Both courses are now taught online as David now lives in France.

David has also tutored at the Botanic Gardens and the National Galleries of Scotland, so is well known and loved as a tutor across the city.  As well as being a gentle, humorous and patient tutor, he is an incredible artist - his intensely wrought landscape paintings refer to the traditions of the 18th and 19th centuries. Though the scenes depicted are topographically correct, light and colour are altered to create a fictionalised reality, that nonetheless conveys the authority of photo realist document.
