CANCELLATION
We are tremendously grateful to those who have gifted money or donated their course fees credit to the school.
In order to fulfil our obligations to tutors and models, as well as sustaining cash flow to the school, please note that we are only able to offer 50% of each class capacity to those booking with credit. If you are not able to redeem your course credit this term, we will endeavour to honour your credit in the following term. Please read our Refund Policy closely.
Non-Covid Cancellation by the Edinburgh Drawing School
If EDS finds it necessary to cancel a class, workshop or session, all participants/students will be notified immediately. If a course must be cancelled completely (out with Covid-19 directive), EDS will give students the opportunity of a full refund or will transfer their payment to another course available at EDS where spaces are still available.
If a singular session of a multi-week course has to be cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances, EDS will contact all students immediately, informing them of an alternative date to make up the total amount of sessions or an alternative tutor to teach the session/s.
Cancellation due to Coronavirus (Covid-19)
The Edinburgh Drawing School (EDS) will respond in accordance with government advice to this unprecedented situation. Cancellations made in accordance and response to COVID 19, such as the decision of tutors or EDS staff to self-isolate, or government imposed lockdown are non-refundable and non-transferable.
Cancellation by You
We will provide a full refund within 48 hours of booking if you change your mind. We will provide a 50% refund if you give written advance notice up to 30 days before the course start date. 0% refund is offered in the 30 days lead up to a course start date. Please note there is an administration fee of £5 payable in respect of refunds requested by the customer. You will need to inform a member of administration staff in writing by emailing EDS at info@edinburghdrawingschool.co.uk.
Please note, if you withdraw for any reason after the course has started you will not be entitled to a refund.
If a tutor has to withdraw from teaching the scheduled course for any reason (medical/personal/professional) before the start of a scheduled course, during a scheduled course, if the course is 8 weeks long or scheduled as x3 terms of 8 weeks long each, The Edinburgh Drawing School will find a replacement tutor for the course designed by that tutor for The Edinburgh Drawing School. The course content will be the same as the originally booked course. A student will not be entitled to a refund should the school have no option but to find a replacement tutor. If a tutor leaves and starts work elsewhere, and a student prefers to take classes with them personally at the tutor's new workplace, that is at the discretion of the student and no refund is entitled to them or will be given.
If a student is unable to attend a class due to illness, then EDS must be informed immediately so that the tutor can be notified. If you are missing a class because you suspect that you have developed Covid-19, please let us know immediately so that we can alert fellow student and tutors. Out of normal office hours, please call or text on 07780 212 672. Non-attendance of classes/workshops does not automatically mean a refund, however EDS will assess the circumstances with fair and reasonable consideration.

Abusive or inappropriate language, threatening or disruptive behaviour towards staff or other students will result in you being removed from the course. The course fee will not be reimbursed in this event.
